Nordic Managed Accounts

Markedskraft has offered investors capital management services within Managed Accounts in the Nordic power market since 2000. The Nordic market for power derivatives is one of the most efficient and liquid commodity markets in the world and is regulated through the financial legislation of the Nordic countries. There are two reasons for investing in the power market - great returns and diversification. The accumulated return to investors in the period 2000-2006 were 1265 % (282 % without re-investing). For returns achieved after 2006, please consult the menu item on the left "Performance". The correlation between the power market and the stock market or other markets is almost zero. Placing part of an investment portfolio in power derivatives will help diversify the portfolio and reduce the portfolio´s systematic risk. The positive yield is shared by the client and Markedskraft according to a pre-determined profit split.

Markedskraft's independent analysis staff is one of the best in the market and has extensive knowledge of the underlying conditions that affect power prices over the short and long run. The quality of our analysis, combined with detailed competence within financial trade and some of the market's best portfolio managers, makes us uniquely suited to generate high returns for the investor.

Markedskraft has all the necessary authorisations to offer Managed Accounts investment services. The client can thus rest assured that investments are managed in a professional and legal manner. In Sweden we were the first company to acquire authorisation from "Finansinspektionen" to offer Managed Accounts within power derivatives. We also satisfy all requirements in Norway. Due to Danish legislation we must state explicitly that Markedskraft Danmark generally neither offers trading in power derivatives nor provides contact to Markedskraft ASA (Norway) which does offer trading in power derivatives. Markedskraft Danmark can, however, offer trading in power derivatives to 1) companies that during the last calendar year have had an electricity consumption of 10 GWh or more, and 2) companies whose main business is trading, or generation of, electricity.
